Terms of use

Plain summary first, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

The short version

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • Post things that are true and that you have direct knowledge of.
  • Criticise conduct, not people's identity. No party politics.
  • You keep ownership of what you post; you give Awajdo permission to display it.
  • You are responsible for what you post, including anonymously.
  • We can remove content and suspend accounts that break the guidelines.

1. Eligibility

Awajdo is for people aged 13 and over. You declare your date of birth at signup. Accounts found to belong to someone below the minimum age are removed.

2. Your content

You retain all rights to what you post. By posting, you grant Awajdo a non-exclusive licence to store, display and distribute it on the platform for as long as you keep it posted. Delete a post and that licence ends, save for copies retained in backups and in moderation records where the law requires us to keep them.

3. Accusations about real people

This platform is built for naming real problems, and often real people acting in public roles. That carries real legal weight. Post what you know to be true and can describe specifically. Defamatory content — false statements of fact that damage someone's reputation — is not protected by posting it anonymously, and we are required to respond to lawful complaints about it.

4. Posting limits

New accounts cannot post immediately, and photo and video uploads unlock as your account builds genuine connections. These thresholds change as we tune them against spam. They apply equally to named and anonymous posts.

5. Moderation

Content is published immediately and moderated afterwards on report. Content that crosses the report threshold is hidden pending review and restored if it is found to be fine. Filing reports in bad faith reduces or removes your ability to report.

6. Account suspension and deletion

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. You may delete your account at any time; it is recoverable for 60 days and then erased permanently.

7. No warranty

Awajdo is provided as-is. We do not verify the truth of what users post, and a post appearing here is not an endorsement of it by us. Marking an issue "resolved" reflects what the poster or the community reported — not an independent inspection.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Awajdo operates as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. See the grievance officer page for the statutory complaint process.
